The Castell de Peralada Festival must inform its audiences that due to a viral infection, the soprano Iréne Theorin will not be taking part in the performance tomorrow, Saturday, July 8, where she was supposed to be performing as a guest in the concert by the National Orchestra Capital of Toulouse.
For this reason, the Festival and the National Orchestra of the Capital of Toulouse have decided to change the program. Therefore, the new program for the debut and presentation of the orchestra at Peralada, under the baton of master conductor Tugan Sokhiev, will be as follows:
Part one: Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune, by Claude Debussy.
The Nutcracker by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky /Suite by T. Sokhiev (Act II, without the final waltz)
Part two: Pictures at an Exhibition (arranged by Maurice Ravel), by Modest Mussorgsky.
The Festival would also like to inform the audience that the channel Mezzo will be recording this concert tomorrow at Peralada, for its international broadcast.
