Figueres, Capital of Catalan Culture
The aim of the Festival Castell de Peralada is to contribute to the dissemination of culture and become involved in the events taking place in its immediate surroundings. An example of this is the active role played by the Festival at last year’s events in Perpignan, Capital of Catalan Culture 2008, and in the current edition, which it will be staging in conjunction with the town of Figueres, Capital of Catalan Culture 2009. The activity proposed by the Festival Castell de Peralada is to broadcast a concert or performance live from a central point in the city of Figueres. |

Meet the Artists events organised by the Ramon Llull Summer University and the Festival Castell de Peralada are an example of the desire to generate a connection with people, as the two institutions aim to bring public and artists together through communication spaces that reach beyond the stage. This initiative also aims to offer concert-goers the opportunity to meet international artists in person and offer them the chance to watch the performances in style, as they will already have listened to the creator’s experiences, the work processes and the inner workings of the performance. |

MEET THE FAMILY SHOW CREATORS
See you in Peralada
Taking the temperature of family shows |
| |
|
| |
Under the umbrella of parallel events at the Festival del Castell de Peralada 2009, this year we will be holding an open day devoted to looking into the current situation and immediate future of the family show. We will be doing this at a meeting with all the theatres, auditoria and venues that programme family theatre seasons in Barcelona and Catalonia. We will also be meeting associations that bring to life circuits and professional artists and companies associations. The relaxed days at the end of July, the 2008-2009 season at an end and the 2009-2010 season already programmed, will help achieve this meeting, provide in-depth knowledge about each project, share experiences and give an advance idea of the most relevant points for the coming week. |
