Two figures from the truest form of Flamenco. El Cigala was the pseudonym given to Diegoby the legendary Camarón which made him famous on the international circuit. A Cantaor by vocation, his roots are the same as almost all maestros of the genre, originating his art on the street and in small tablaos. Since 1994, his career has seen him collaborate not only with Flamenco stars, but he has also sung with Bebo Valdés and Jerry González. In any case, Tomatito’s guitar brings back to us a natural Cigala in his 40 kilos de arte, which he will be presenting in Peralada. The guitarist from Almería is one of the instrument’s great maestros: he accompanied Camarón throughout the last 18 years of his life, topping a distinguished group of the leading voices from the genre and has also worked with Elton John, Michel Camilo, Neneh Cherry and Frank Sinatra. With 40 kilos de arte, the Festival promises a high-octane evening.
