At the height of her artistic career, María Pagés, the acclaimed Andalusian bailaora and choreographer of today, will be bringing her immeasurable art to Peralada. Sevilla, a show that has achieved resounding success in none other than Tokyo’s Orchard Hall, will be the setting in which Pagés pays tribute from the very depths of her soul to the city of her birth. “In Sevilla, I talk about the Seville that I am and the Seville that is part of my being,” says this great Flamenco dancer. With texts by writers such as García Lorca and Machado and music by Shostakovich, Sarasate, Bizet, Gardel and Serrat, this stage production Sevilla recalls an artist who dreams and goes back to her roots. |
