The multi-faceted José Cura – tenor, conductor and composer – will bring this year’s Festival to a close in one of his better known facets, that of singer. True to its commitment to opera, the Festival Castell de Peralada is featuring this superstar of the musical theatre world in a gala – a format that enchants audiences – which will be bound to charm not only his many followers but also anyone deciding to see one of the most unique and outstanding tenors of the twenty-first century in action. Accompanied by the Orquestra Nacional Clàssica d’Andorra, with Mario de Rose on the podium, José Cura will sing some of the arias that have made him famous from operas of the stature of Pagliacci, Otello, Tosca, Turandot and La Fanciulla del West; just some of the titles that the Empordà audience will remember from an evening that promises emotions.
