This musical theatre show takes a friendly and fun look at the history of Catalonia narrated from two perspectives: immigration and femininity. This is one of the first pieces of children’s theatre to deal with the history of the country, of the Katalanatribu. With advice from the historical point of view of the Fundación Cultura, with the collaboration of the Museum of History of Catalonia and using a text by Víctor Alexandre, the show employs several stage languages to narrate these journeys through time, from Chinese shadows to puppet and marionette shows, from audiovisual screenings to traditionally rooted music and to the commedia dell’arte. The starting point is Oumy, a 13-year-old Catalan girl of African descent who is trying to explain to her grandmother who has just arrived from Cameroon (blind and recovering from an operation) the history of her country: Catalonia.
