El Jove Teatre Regina has been working for twenty years in theatre for children and teenagers, staging performances of classics from all eras and taking them to the younger generations with a contemporary language, from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream to Moliere’s The Imaginary Invalid, not forgetting children’s favourite fairy tales (Mixu, Puss in Boots, Little Red Riding Hood, and so on). The adaptation of Alice’s magical journey through wonderland would come sooner or later to the Barcelona theatre, and this summer it finds its way to the Petit Peralada performed by the La Trepa company, which has been treading the boards for over thirty years. Lewis Carroll’s masterpiece, which has undergone thousands of cinema, theatre, radio, comic and other interpretations and adaptations since it was published, is one of the most fascinating stories in children’s literature. Alice, the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit will live out their adventures this summer at the Castell de Peralada. Not to be missed.
