The Carmen Church
The Iglesia del Carmen de Peralada is a Gothic building that currently houses the Castillo de Peralada Museum. The cloisters and church are well-known for their exceptional multicoloured wooden coffered ceilings.
The church, constructed in the second half of the 14th century, is one of the most important stages at the Festival. It is an indoor area with a seating capacity for 400 and is generally used to host chamber music concerts and recitals.
The Gothic cloisters, from the same time period, are also in perfect condition. This is an intimate space with seating for up to 200 and has been used on occasions as an alternative stage area. |
