Oriol Broggi directs for the first time opera, in Peralada Festival

Throughout its history, the Peralada Festival has premièred a significant number of in-house productions and world premières in the world of opera, for this edition the festival has commissioned a version of Mozart’s The Magic Flute from the acclaimed Oriol Broggi. As the protagonists of this singspiel, Peralada has a cast of top-flight voices; tenor Liparit Avetisyan, baritone Adrian Ërod, soprano Kathryn Lewek and two outstanding Castell de Peralada Festival Prizes in the Viñas Competition; sopranos Olga Kulchynska (2015) and Anaïs Constans (2017). Mercedes Gancedo, Anna Alàs, Francisco Vas and Andreas Bauer complete the vocal section. Accompanied by the resident line-ups at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, directed by its resident conductor Josep Pons, it promises to be an evening of great emotions.
