OUKA LEELE CREATOR OF THE 2019 POSTER

Bárbara Allende Gil de Biedma, better known by her artistic name Ouka Leele, is a Spanish artist, painter, poet and photographer. It gives the Peralada Festival huge satisfaction that the poster for the 2019 edition has been created by this artist, who was inspired by La Traviata, an opera that returns to the Festival in a new own production.

Ouka Leele sees photography as visual poetry, a way of speaking without using words. Her work has been printed in a great many magazines, including Diorama, Photo Magazine, Telos, Dezine and Reviste Actuel. She has worked on almost all the editions of the ARCO Festival, which houses part of her work in its collection. One of the stars of the Madrid Movement of the early 1980s, the artist has given workshops on her speciality at festivals, arts centres and universities.
