YUNCHAN LIM CANCELS HIS PERFORMANCE

Yunchan Lim will not be able to participate in the Easter edition of the Peralada Festival on 30 March for medical reasons. The concert will be replaced by a performance by pianist Javier Perianes

The Spanish pianist Javier Perianes joins the Peralada Festival to fill in for pianist Yunchan Lim, who will not be able to participate in this second Easter edition as originally planned due to an injury that will keep him away from the stage for the next few weeks.

According to his agency, " Yunchan Lim is experiencing a strain in his hand. He is currently undergoing treatment with his doctor and physical therapist. It is therefore with profound regret that he must withdraw from his forthcoming concerts under his doctor’s orders. This will allow the injury time to heal and to protect against future issues”. In addition to his performance at the Peralada Festival, Lim has also had to cancel his performance with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London (27 March), at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig (30 March), at Wigmore Hall in London (8 April) and at the Fondazione La Società dei Concerti in Milan (10 April).

Lim's piano recital, scheduled for 30 March at 6:30 p.m. in the Carmel Church, will be replaced by the Andalusian pianist's concert, which will include works by Falla, Albéniz and Debussy as well as the complete Goyescas of Enrique Granados.

Spectators who so wish may keep their ticket purchased for Javier Perianes's recital, or request tickets purchased from Monday 25 March at 12 noon be automatically returned.
