Piotr Beczala is one of the most acclaimed tenors of our time and a recurring performer in the world's most important opera houses. The artist, born in Poland, stands out not only for the beauty of his voice but also for his strong commitment to each character he plays. Always impeccable and attentive to detail, his voice has a truly unique timbre. Throughout his fruitful operatic career, he has performed a large part of the classical vocal repertoire with the world's most distinguished orchestras and conductors, but Piotr Beczala's musical work also includes a variety of concerts that further expand his already rich repertoire. Initially devoted to Mozart, Bellini, Donizetti and lyrical roles by Verdi, Janácek and Strauss, to name a few, the tenor has slowly been adding to his repertoire other roles such as the male protagonists of Lohengrin (Wagner), Aida (Verdi) and Turandot (Puccini). This will be the third appearance of Piotr Beczala at the Peralada Festival, after the 2014 inaugural concert in which he performed alongside Erika Grimaldi and his debut on the stage of the Carme Church in 2012. This time, the tenor will present a recital alongside the pianist Sarah Tysman with a first part dedicated to the composer Piotr Ilych Tchaikovsky and a second part to the great opera arias of Moniuszko, Dvořák, Verdi and Puccini .
