A SOUND EXPERIENCE BETWEEN AVANT-GARDE AND NATURE
A benchmark of new sound creation in our country, the Frames Percussion ensemble is known for its versatility, precision and commitment to avant-garde music.
The soundscape of nature continues to inspire contemporary compositions, and Frames showcases this in a double bill that invites audiences to experience sound with new perspectives. In the unique setting of the Perelada winery, two avant-garde pieces are presented that engage in a dialogue with the natural world through humour, criticism and poetic sound.
L'Opera (forse), by the renowned Italian composer Francesco Filidei, is a work for six percussionists and a narrator that ironically questions the limits of the operatic form, combining independent scenes with texts by Pierre Senges, and incorporating sounds of birds, water, wind and deconstructed rhythms.
Cathy van Eck's La Nature dans le Miroir uses sensors and technology to transform bodily movement into a soundscape, turning the performer into a creator and provoking a direct reflection on the relationship between art, nature and technology.
The Perelada Festival presents an immersive and radical experience, where the stage becomes a space for thought and experimentation: sounds to be seen, images to be heard.
