SABINA PUÉRTOLAS RECITAL

Sabina Puértolas is one of the most internationally renowned sopranos in Spain, acclaimed for her performances in a wide repertoire of bel canto and Baroque music. Her career goes from strength to strength and has taken her to opera houses such as the Royal Opera House in London, the Teatro Real, the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Teatro Municipal in Santiago de Chile, the Seattle Opera in the USA and the National Centre for Performing Arts in Beijing (China). She made her first appearance at La Scala in Milán in 2001, in the role of Oscar en A masked ball by Verdi, directed by Riccardo Muti, and since then has been constantly in demand worldwide. Her expressive and theatrical performances bind her to the essence of the role she plays. Together with the pianist, Rubén Fernández Aguirre, the evening will consist of songs, romances and arias from operas like Handel's Alcina y Rodelinda, Il turco in Italia by Rossini and Lucia di Lammermoor by Donizetti. Puertolas's elegant and musical style of singing also shows great technical control and promises a night to remember.
