JAKUB JÓZEF ORLINSKI

JAKUB JÓZEF ORLINSKI
BAROQUE COLOURS AND SHADOWS THAT TOUCH THE SOUL

The popular and multifaceted Polish breakdancing countertenor is a phenomenon even beyond the world of music. His golden voice, innovative style and social media savvy have made him one of the most exciting performers of the global music scene and one of the most requested voices on stages all over the world. The first recording of this exclusive Erato/Warner Classics artist, Anima Sacra, was globally praised by critics and landed him the prestigious Opus Klassik Award for Solo Vocal Recording of the Year. His concerts attract a varied and young audience willing to hear a concert of arias and songs performed with an innovative flair. With his beautiful voice and meticulously exquisite phrasing, Orlinski is much more than a rockstar-like celebrity. His recordings and music are proof that countertenors need not limit themselves to Baroque and contemporary repertoires, as there are many more paths yet to be explored.
Backed by the ensemble Il Giardino d'Amore, founded in 2012 by the director and violinist Stefan Plewniak during the Krakow Bach Festival with the goal of sharing a feeling of deep, joyful and expressive sensibility guided by the love of art and music of its members, Jakub Józef Orliński's talent will now reach Peralada in the Easter Festival, after performing that same week in the Palace of Versailles, with a concert that is bound to be truly delightful.
